"Government School for Visually Impaired girls/ boys"

Total 07 Sparsh: Government Schools for Visually Impaired students are being operated by the department in the district Saharanpur, Banda, Gorakhpur, Lucknow and Meerut. Out of these the school being operated in Saharanpur is of High School level and schools being operated in other districts are of Intermediate level. In these schools free education is provided to the students through Brail pattern. To the boarding students of these schools, a monthly stipend of Rs. 2000/- is provided for their livelihood. From this amount, food, breakfast, clothing, bedding, medicines and other routine things are purchased for the students by a purchasing committee constituted as per requirements of students/head of institute/nominated members . For non-boarding students, free transportation through bus is provided from their homes to school and back. Approved students capacity in these schools is as under:-
